Crystal Mineral Video

Natural crystal deodorants are made from potassium alum (rock form), which is a naturally occurring crystalline, translucent sulfate mineral. About 200 distinct kinds of sulfates are recorded in mineralogical literature, but most of them are of rare and local occurrence.  Minerals have varying physical properties, and are often commonly described by their crystal habit.  A mineral may show good crystal habit or form, or it may be massive, granular or compact with only microscopically visible crystals.

Watch the video below, and experience the beauty of translucent crystals, such as Selenite, which is featured in the video while exploring the Naica Cave of the Crystals. Selenite is a translucent sulfate mineral with similar appearance to potassium alum, yet with different compositions.
