All Verdan crystal deodorant products are made from the 100% pure potassium alum stone.  In Verdan crystal deodorant processing centers the natural potassium alum stone is crafted using traditional methods, such as those performed when cutting, shaping and polishing marble. Our process has been perfected by first selecting the finest quality giant crystal blocks  of potassium alum stone available.  Once selected, each crystal deodorant product is individually carved into its final shape by sawing, cutting, and punching in order to ensure each piece is perfect.  This technique requires an expert workforce and keen eye to maintain the highest quality we demand.

As an entirely natural mineral, the purity of one specimen of potassium alum (rock form) can slightly vary from one to another.  And, since the crystalline alum grows naturally at a rate of  only 2 mm.  per day, the pre-production large crystal alum blocks take years to grow and are becoming increasingly rare. This is why we work very hard to select only the purest alum stone, which is made visible from its mottled and translucent appearance.  The translucency is also evidence of the absence of aluminum hydroxide (ATH), which is precisely the ingredient used in synthetic crystal deodorant stones that make it appear opaque. Potassium alum is a natural anti-microbial, which means that when it comes in contact with bacteria, such as bacteria in sweat that is responsible for body odor, it inhibits its growth. By inhibiting bacterial growth odor is prevented; and the body is still able to maintain its proper course of eliminating toxins through sweat, as well as controlling body temperature, all without odor. All-Natural Alum Vs. Synthetic Alum

Alum forms naturally as stalagmites with an ice like translucency.  The formation of alum is a typical example of the purification of natural elements. There are many synthetic imitations and cons flooding the market today; so, it is important to understand the difference in order to buy a truly natural product and not a synthetic product. To differentiate the two, firstly, the label will not tell you enough to determine if it is actually natural, and all the brands seem to describe the product as 'natural' in their marketing and advertising even if they are not. So how do you make the right choice?
